We saw "Mumbai Meri Jaan" last night at home. I had been hearing of nice reviews but somehow could not make it to the theatres.
The movie measured up to its good ratings. It's not just another movie about the 2006 blasts in Mumbai. It looks at how the blasts have affected very ordinary people from the law makers to the law breakers.
I feel it is Paresh Rawal's finest performances. As a common corrupt cop, the upheavals he goes through about how he has led his life are very touchingly portrayed. In fact, in the acting department everyone has done a good job.
The movie does leave you sad & as my husband says" why take stress through movies when u have enough of that in your daily life".
He is highly touchy on this subject. In fact whenever seeing the repeat of any movie of TV, he switches channels whenever he knows that a sad part is coming.

The movie didn't even come to the theatres in Lucknow! How sad is that!
well, ur hubby has his own way of seeing things and u have diff..we guys are prone to go away from reality when it comes to movies...
@d- There was a deluge of releases in that week. u try in on DVD. it's surely worth it.
@insane- really? Didn't know it was a guy's thing. I found it hard to understand in the beginning.
i am hoping to catch it too! soon!! and am lookinh forward to Paresh Rawal doing something otha than comedy!
