Sick Baby

Ansh has been sick since a week now. He came back from school on Thursday with a fever. Since then he has been having fever everyday. We took him to the doctor on Saturday & we were asked to just continue giving Calpol & nothing else. (8 ml for 13kgs) However, the fever continued & so yesterday we again took him to the pediatrician & this time he has started antibiotics. So today morning Ansh looked much better. He was cheerful. But he is looking weak. The culprit is a throat infection. His tonsils have enlarged. Today is also the fourth day that he has missed school. But that is hardly important at his level. However, tomorrow they have a fancy dress in school & I hope that he regains enough strength to make it to school tomorrow.

Another unfortunate thing is that last two nights have been important official do's at office which both myself & Abhi had to attend. (Mr. Murty's farwell & tata steel party) So, we've not been able to spend as much time with Ansh as we should & I feel so guilty about it. At such times, I feel that having in-laws at home is such a blessing. This is such a blessing that it negates all other difficulties & disadvantages of being in a joint family.

O-oh! Hope he gets well really soon! its really so painful to see the kids unwell.

And as you said, having support system, be it in-laws or the relatives that you can count on, when you need to attend to office stuff.

Yes, Nids, its really painful to see kids sick.. & also painful to not be able to be with them to comfort them & hold them close. Hate working at times like these.
